This week starts Sun Oct 5th.
I'll be doing the Bridge to Bridge run in San Francisco that is a 12K. I need this to help get me going. So, I'll round that up to 8mi. Each week after that I should increase my long runs by 1mi.
weekly goals (by mile or time):
Oct 5th: 8mi or 1:20
Oct 12th 9mi or 1:30
Oct 19th: 10mi or 1:40
Oct 26th: 11mi or 1:50
Then we'll rest before the race and just do shorter, easier runs.

week eleven
SEVEN weeks until the race including this week. This means we have FIVE more weeks of getting our mileage up then we'll start tapering our runs for the last two weeks.
Continue to run over 20 miles total this week.
Have you run over an 8 mi long run? If not, do it this week. Or you can go out for 1hr 30 min and run as much as possible!!
Good luck! Let's talk cause I need some motivation!

week ten
Oh, how sad. So sorry haven't been keeping on top of the blog. What's more unfortunate is that this is reflective of my running as well. Time to recover from the lull.

week seven
Ok, sorry about the 11 miles last week. That was a slip up.
We're sticking with the original plan: concentrate on the 3 runs a week (track/speed, tempo, long) then add easy runs or cross training on the "off" days, and increase our long runs by half a mile each week.
For week seven:
Day One: At track: 5X800 with a lap break in between. Ends up your picking up your pace for five minutes. Don't forget warm-up and cool down.
Day Two: 4 mile Tempo Run w/ mile warm up and cool down
Day Three: 8 mile long run, Good Luck! Join a running group yet?
On the off days, do XT or short, easy runs.
